SUMMIT & ACTION PROGRAMME

The Summit will take place in Cambridge from September 9th to 13th, with the details of the specific sessions and days described lower in this page.

 The Action Programme is designed to promote long-term sustainability and impact. Starting off online in August and continuing through and after the summit, teams of Future Leaders paired with Cambridge experts will discuss, develop and deliver local-scale solutions for the challenges faced by their cities.

COLLABORATE & DRIVE OUTPUT

Pre-defined groups of 5-7 Future Leaders will work together within a thematic area to discuss, develop and deliver solutions to bilateral challenges

TOPICAL LECTURES

Deeper understanding of the themes discussed and current challenges provided by a world leader.

 

Ignites discussions and provide cross-disciplinary perspectives of the challenges.

WORLD CAFE SESSION

Deeper understanding of the themes discussed and current challenges provided by a world leader.

 

Ignites discussions and provide cross-disciplinary perspectives of the challenges.

CO-WORKING SESSIONS

Participation of the same groups of Future Leaders on their local scale project with a Cambridge academic mentor.

On the last day of the summit, groups will pitch their projects and the winners will be given funding.

DISCUSS & EXCHANGE IDEAS

Senior leaders engage in conversation and discussion amongst themselves and with the Future Leaders

OPEN FLOOR PANEL DISCUSSION SESSIONS

Aimed to foment discussions among 3 to 6 world leading experts on a thematic priority theme. A moderator will lead the panel discussion and allow interaction with all present participants. The key component of this session is that discussion and engagement between the participants will be quite substantial. We aim to have the participation of the Chevening scholars in the discussions through media resources.

LEADER CONVERSATION SESSIONS

Two top experts will talk about the key priority bilateral challenges of Latin America and the UK. The session is designed to promote the exchange of ideas of leading experts and generate constructive discussions that could provide insights into the topical lecture, world café, and co-working sessions.

KEYNOTE SESSIONS

Top experts will provide their unique insights into the key priority bilateral challenges of Latin America and the UK in keynote talks given in the afternoons.

Free time and space for young delegates to meet leaders with the goal to engage with them and get to know their life, vulnerabilities, career paths and many more aspects that makes them a true leader. These sessions are closed and no media will be present or recording be made.
